Theatre Night in Merrickville has received many awards.
In 42 years we have entered 25 festivals; 49 people have won 76 awards in the following 20 categories:
Acting in a Major Role, Acting in a Supporting Role, Artistic Set Painting, Best Director, Best Production, Best Use of Speech, Best Visual, Cameo Performance, Comedic Ability, Costumes, Ensemble Acting, Lights, Music, Original Script, Properties, Set Design, Set Construction, Sound, Stage Management, Student Contribution.
This does not include the dozens of nominations our volunteers have received in these and other categories.
There are also many of our productions that have not been entered in a festival and that, without a doubt, would have garnered even more recognition. Some of those plays in no particular order are: ‘The Field’, ‘The Black Bonspiel of Wullie Mac Crimmon’, ‘Lend Me a Tenor’, ‘Waiting For the Parade’, ‘My Giddy Aunt’ and ‘See How They Run’. These are ones, we hear, that past audience members remember most.
